AS Coursework Proposal Table

Type of Magazine (fashion, music, etc)	For my coursework I will be making a music magazine.
Name of Magazine	The name of my magazine will be Voltz.
Audience (male/female)	The audience for my magazine is both male and female teenagers aged 14 to 19.
Audience (attitudes and interests)	They enjoy playing games, going to gigs. They may play an instrument and wear vans or converse shoes. They enjoy watching movies of the horror and comedy genres. The girls may shop at Topshop and Newlook and the boys may shop at Topman. They are confident, outgoing people who are not afraid to be different. They have a good sense of humour and are friendly and adventurous.
Outlet (where it can be bought from?)	My magazine will be available from newsagents and supermarkets as well as online and at gigs.
Necessary Information	I would charge £1.99 as my target audience are quite young therefore the magazine needs to be affordable and reasonably priced. It will begin from issue 1 and will be September 2013 edition. I will have the essential information located in the bottom third of the page next to the barcode and website address.
Selling Point	My magazine will feature exclusive interviews every week and will include a great competition and some free posters.
Theme (article)	The feature will be about an upcoming artist or band in the rock/alternative genre. The main image will be large and prominent on the page, however, there will be other images on the pages as well. I will use gender neutral colours such as red, yellow, green and black. I will use three columns for text and use a font such as Calibri or Times New Roman.
Images Front Cover	I will use images that will relate to the main feature. I will ask someone I know who is an artist or in a band to pose for the front cover and for the feature. The image will have a direct mode of address as I will make sure everyone in the photograph is looking at the camera.
Images Inside	The images inside will be secondary images relating to other features in the magazine. The main central image will be of the band that is on the front cover to highlight them as the main feature of the magazine.
